Concert Attendance is mandatory and is the equivalent of taking a test in any other class. It is therefore a very large part of your grade. Please contact me at least 1 week prior to a concert your child cannot attend. A make-up assignment will be given at the discretion of the director for excused absences only.
Concert Grading
Unexcused Absence - 0%
Excused Absence with Completed Make-Up Assignment - Exempt Grade
Concert Attended - 100%
Points may be deducted for inappropriate behavior or tardiness.
Concert Dress Policy
Students will wear a shirt provided for them by the choir (through fundraising). Students keep the shirts for the entire school year but we ask that students only wear the shirts to performances. Students will turn in the shirts at the end of the year so that we can use them again next year. If a shirt gets lost or damaged there will be a replacement fee ($10 MS).
Middle School students also wear jeans and shoes (please no sandals or flip-flops).
